He is well-versed across a full range of corporate & commercial matters with a track record of advising international and regional businesses as a trusted partner.
With a focus on corporate and commercial matters, he acts as a trusted advisor for key clients in the UAE ranging from local groups to international companies. He advises across the entire spectrum of corporate transactions including mergers and acquisitions, joint venture agreements, due diligence, shareholder agreements, share purchase agreements and various types of commercial contracts as well as advising on company formation, disputes, intellectual property rights and employment.
In addition, Zohaib has noteworthy expertise in assisting clients with litigation (including arbitration) in UAE and DIFC Courts involving complex commercial aspects, such as crypto-currency transactions and corporate fraud. While he frequently advises major clients on retainer solely, he is also well-versed with compliance and secretarial tasks being a former company secretary at a public listed company. Zohaib is also better known for client management and teamwork. Amongst others, he is well acquainted with franchising across the region and has assisted various food chains regarding the same.
Zohaib brings with him an experience of over nine years working in United Arab Emirates and Pakistan both in-house and private practice, where he focused on corporate, commercial, finance and intellectual property laws.
His wide-ranging experience covers the entire spectrum of corporate transactions including mergers and acquisitions, joint venture agreements, due diligence, shareholder agreements, share purchase agreements and other related commercial contracts. Recently, he has been involved in advising and sellers on a disposal of a majority stake in a health care facility and subsequent joint venture transactions for expansion and restructuring into Abu Dhabi and other Emirates.
His capability in relation to intellectual property covers registrability of trademarks, copyrights and designs. Furthermore, he is well-practiced in the employment and company formation sectors.
Zohaib has an LL.M from the Swansea University, Wales and an LL.B from the University of London, UK.
