Notable Deals

Acting for claimants over properties in Hong Kong and New York valued in excess of US$20 million. Successfully obtained an injunction order over a valuable property situated in Hong Kong to restrain the property being dealt with pending the trust claims being resolved. Worked with offshore law firm resulting in the successful transfer of the New York property to the client.
Acting for a government on its asset tracing efforts in relation to funds misappropriated by various government officials (and their family members and associates). Liaised extensively with the Department of Justice. The value of assets in excess of HK$300 million was successfully traced and restrained.
Acted against a PRC bank in recovering property seized under a mortgage executed post liquidation.
Advised various banks and financial institutions on factoring issues.
Acted for GE Commercial in GE Commercial v Lafe involving major claims of insurance and factoring issues.
Acted in the landmark case involving service out of the jurisdiction, Intex Corporation, as well as with injunctions and discovery orders in support of arbitration.
Acted in numerous disputes 'relating to shareholders' disputes, breach of contracts, tort, defamation, unjust enrichment, breach of fiduciary duties, derivative actions in Hong Kong.
Advised and prepared a detailed opinion on force majeure for a major Italian multinational oil and gas company in relation to its operations in Iraq.
Advised a major British multinational oil and gas company in relation to drilling of an oil well in Trinidad and Tobago under the PSCs and JVAs.
Advised a multinational Canadian oil and gas company in relation to forfeiture and insolvency related clauses in their joint operating agreements and production sharing contracts concerning their oil and gas interests in Iraq.
Advised a major British multinational oil and gas company in relation to drafting optimal dispute resolution clauses in their oil and gas contracts.
Advised a leading Polish oil company in relation to terminating its long-term and short-term contracts with a Danish oil company.
